Title: Hide categories smart catlist plugin

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I read lots of topics and anything helps.
I would like to hide some subcategories in my gallery, like this one: www.chloemoretz/gallery I installed the plugin smart catlist but it doesn't works, anything is different.
Is there a new plugin for hide categories or.. what I should do?

Link doesn't work and can't work, because the domain part is invalid - review.

What is that supposed to mean? The term "doesn't work" doesn't qualify as valid report for a plugin. Describe your issues in detail if you expect support.

Anything is different, there isn't a new field in the category editor.

No, that isn't my site, just an example.

I really need to hide some categories because there are a lot and I have heard of other people with the same problems.
