Coppermine - phpBB Bridging
« on: November 05, 2015, 04:56:28 pm »

Hello to all,

occasionally I am trying to set up a Coppermine 1.5 Gallery http://galerie.nordbiene.de bridging to my phpBB Forum 3.0.12 http://imkerforum.nordbiene.de

The bridgemgr.php has been filled as:

Forum-URL: http://imkerforum.nordbiene.de
Relative path to my bridge app's config file: ../imkerforum/
Cookie: phpbb3_hwxee

My webroot  has got the following installations:
/imkerforum
/joomla
/galerie
/Webcams
/and others

The Coppermine Installation is in the Folder "galerie", the app in the Folder "imkerfolder".

Unfortunately the bridging does not work. When I log in to the Forum as an Administrator, this will not Change any Thing on my Coppermine Status. I have no acces to the upload of photos since I am not logged in.

What is the Problem? How can I solve it?

Thanks for help.

Best regards
Kai

Correction:

The Coppermine Installation is in the Folder "galerie", the app in the Folder "imkerfolder". correct: "imkerforum"

Please read the doc located here:
http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/bridging.htm#integrating_cookie_start

Specifically around cookies:
Quote
The login integration uses your bulletin board cookies, therefore it won't work if your board cookies are not visible by Coppermine. So unless you are an expert, keep things simple and install Coppermine and your bridge app on the same domain.

It may be possible to do what you are trying - and the doc explains what is needed from the bridged application.

Hello,

thank You so much. It works!!!  :-* :-* :-*

I have installed the Coppermine script in a new Folder "Galerie" within the phpBB Installation.

The new Input is:

Forum-URL: http://imkerforum.nordbiene.de
Relative path to my bridge app's config file: ../
Cookie: phpbb3_hwxee

Thank You very much.
