News: Maintenance release cpg1.4.25 - upgrade recommended
The Coppermine development team is releasing an update for Coppermine in order to fix an issue with http uploads that could occur in particular versions of PHP.The fix is not security-critical, so if your gallery is running fine with cpg1.4.23 or cpg1.4.24 you don't need to upgrade. If you are running an older version than cpg1.4.23, you must update to this latest version as soon as possible because of the security impact (the past few maintenance releases before cpg1.4.24 all were security-related).

Hi,

Here is the announce for the Beta version for 3.5.0 release.

Beta status:should normally. But I'd like people with various bridge configuration to give feedback before I do an official release.

Please answer to this thread for bridge management feedback, and only for that.

The release is attached to the message.

Release notes for 3.5.0 beta:

Packaged with applet v4.2.1b

Fix:
- [Major, BRIDGE] Bridge management reviewed. Uses standard mechanism: should work in all cases now.
- [Major] Bridge mode was broken (JUpload Session Management would not work in previous version)
- [Minor] Less CPU consumed, make upload speed higher (at least with a Gb network)
- [Minor] Sending an error mail to the gallery administrator would generate an error (but the error was correctly sent to the URL). Thanks to  (thanks to Zapp29, sourceforge account: brusaf)

The modification is: removal of the sessionManagement parameter, and user of standard authentication mechanism. This needs to send extra-information to the applet, so that it can build a valid HTTP upload query to the server. The code is actually simpler now, which is good news.

Etienne

The same for the 3.4 zip file. If I try to unzip on my linux box (ubuntu 8.10) I get a CRC error (inflating: jupload/wjhk.jupload.jar   bad CRC d5d13bf2  (should be edc0db4c))
If I upload the zipfile to the same linux box using coppermine plugin manager it looks as if it installs. But the jupload tab doesn't work. Looks like a poor error handling in coppermine (1.4.21)
