Cannot change default theme to a custom theme
« on: July 26, 2007, 09:49:21 am »

Hi,

One last question. My custom theme is now ready and I would like to set it as default theme, however this does not work. I can change the default theme to different of the included themes (like Hardwired), however when I set it to my custom theme and then save the settings it will not change. If I go to the settings dialog again it will still show the old default theme, not my custom one.

What could be wrong here??

Thanks and regards, Robert

Hi guys,

Sorry for bothering, already works. I think that you have to be using the default theme when you change it. At least when I tried to change first I was using my custom theme (just switched by using ?theme= in the URL). When I switched back now to the default theme the same way and then changed the default theme it worked. But might have been coincidence as well and there is some other reason for it not working before ...

Regards, Robert

Access your configuration screen with an additional parameter in the URL that forces the custom theme to be used (http://yoursite.tld/your_gallery/admin.php?theme=your_custom_theme). Then select your custom theme as default theme and save your settings. Finally, clear your cookies (http://yoursite.tld/your_gallery/admin.php?theme=xxx or reference to any theme name that doesn't exist) to see if the changes stick.
Post a link to your gallery for a start if this doesn't work as expected for you.
