cpg1.5.24 maintenance release - upgrade recommended
The Coppermine development team is releasing an update for Coppermine in order to fix several minor issues. All fixes are not security critical, so if your gallery is running fine with cpg1.5.20 or cpg1.5.22 you don't need to upgrade. If you are running an older version than cpg1.5.20, you must update to this latest version as soon as possible because of the security impact!

1.2.1 upgrade?
« on: August 20, 2006, 02:29:14 am »

Hi,

Newbie to the forums, but not the gallery. :)  I have several sites across several servers, which unfortunately means different versions of cPanel, thus Fantastico, thus Coppermine.  I have inherited a 5Gb gallery on 1.2.1 which I obviously need to upgrade.  Advice please?  My gut feeling is throw it away and start again, but clearly this is easier said than done with a big gallery.

All help appreciated.

different versions of cPanel, thus Fantastico, thus Coppermine.
We disapprove the use of auto-installers to set up coppermine, as they are buggy and outdated. Particularly Fantastico is notorious for offering outdated and buggy versions - for details, search the board. We strongly recommend never to use Fantastico again in relation with Coppermine. Always perform installs and updates as we suggest in our documentation - don't let yourself get lulled into believing that you're going to get the same thing when using auto-installers; you won't.

Deep link to upgrade section is http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#13 though.
