News: Maintenance release cpg1.4.25 - upgrade recommended
The Coppermine development team is releasing an update for Coppermine in order to fix an issue with http uploads that could occur in particular versions of PHP.The fix is not security-critical, so if your gallery is running fine with cpg1.4.23 or cpg1.4.24 you don't need to upgrade. If you are running an older version than cpg1.4.23, you must update to this latest version as soon as possible because of the security impact (the past few maintenance releases before cpg1.4.24 all were security-related).

I got a post from GauGau saying

"It is mandatory to upgrade, you're still on cpg1.4.3!"

Why is it mandatory to upgrade. This is the first I've heard of this.

I'll go try do upgrade. Is this available in Documents upgrading from 1.4.3 to what's the latest version?

it says:"News:Maintenance release cpg1.4.8 - upgrade mandatory!" don't you see that there!!!
latest version is 1.4.8 and you can find it Here
you can also fine how to upgrade doc.  Here
you should always check for maintenence version your 1.4.3 has a Security bug

Ya to tell you the truth I don't hang out at the forum on a daily baisis. What happened to the email announment for regular people?

Maintenance release cpg1.4.8 fixes severe security issue
Subscribe to notifications for the announcement board or subscribe to the sf.net announcements.
Not sure what email announcement for regular people is (are there irregular people?).

Thanks....I updated and everything is running great.
I also Subscribed to notifications for the announcement board so I won't be in the dark next time.
