cpg1.5.24 maintenance release - upgrade recommended
The Coppermine development team is releasing an update for Coppermine in order to fix several minor issues. All fixes are not security critical, so if your gallery is running fine with cpg1.5.20 or cpg1.5.22 you don't need to upgrade. If you are running an older version than cpg1.5.20, you must update to this latest version as soon as possible because of the security impact!

sub-category in User Galleries

Hi,

I have setup a site where each of my user's has the standard 'user' User Gallery.  So I have a user gallery 'jason'.  What I would like to be able to do, is have some sub-categories immediately under this user gallery.  For instance, I recently went on holidays and the photos were from several different places for the holiday, but had the one category of 'My Holiday'.  This is to get around the limitation of no sub-albums.

Is there a way to create a category within the User Galleries special category?

no, within a user's personal gallery, only albums can exist. I suggest that you (as admin) create categories, sub-categories and albums within the public galleries section, not in the user galleries (which is meant to be only for "regular" users).

Is there a way to create sub-categories in the User Gallery category?  In the User Gallery category I would like to have sub-categories.

User Gallery (category)
- Honda (sub-category)
 - Civic (sub-category)
  - User12's own album (personal gallery)
